I read a bewildering letter in the Dec. 11 issue of theAddison Independent where the person says that, with what is going on with the railroad in Middlebury, they were not going to go to Middlebury this holiday season. First of all, there is nothing going on there now that is at all inconvenient. Secondly these are the most important times to be supporting Middlebury businesses. Between The Vermont Book Shop, Sweet Cecily, Main Street Stationery, and Ollie’s Place (and all the other great shops not mentioned here) one can find lovely gifts for everyone from 0 to 100 years old, and at prices from $5.00 or less on up.
