Kudos and thanks to Bruce Hiland and his group of concerned citizens for bringing more attention to the rail project before it is too late.
This committed group has spent hours researching the history of this project. Their efforts have brought forth information that we, as concerned citizens, should know and, consequently, be able to act upon accordingly.
Bruce’s recent letter to the editor was enlightening and informative. What harm can it do to stop and take another look at this project NOW and the viable alternative that costs taxpayers less money, makes FAR less disruption in our town, meets all safety standards, as well as provides for the future of the slim possibility of ever having double-decker rail cars on that track.
We wholeheartedly agree that NOW is the time to get an objective third party review. This is our delightful, unique town. Is this proposed project the BEST we can do? Let’s take another good look, please. the sooner the better.
