Composer Moira Smiley joins Maiden Vermont for holiday show

Maiden Vermont brings high-flying holiday show to Middlebury
The excitement is building for Maiden Vermont’s holiday show, “Come Fly With Us.” The Maidens will take the Town Hall Theater stage in Middlebury this Saturday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m. With their rich harmony and bell ringing tones, Maiden Vermont will sing songs of the season along with songs that they love all year. The Maidens will also be performing renditions of traditional folk music with body percussion taught to them by their guest artist Moira Smiley.
Smiley, an Addison County native, is a world-renowned composer of original arrangements and a performer with rich and varied vocal colors. Smiley’s inspiring personality engages audiences of all ages. Act 1 will feature the full chorus plus cameo appearances by small groups from within the chorus. Smiley will lead off Act 2, with the Maidens joining her in the grand finale.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors/students, and may be purchased at townhallteater.org, by calling 802-382-9222, at the THT box office (Monday-Saturday, 12-5 p.m.) or at the door, if available.
