Note of appreciation: Many helped make United Way’s food drive a success

United Way of Addison County would like to thank all of those who participated in our Holiday Food Drive on Saturday, Nov. 18.
Hosted by Hannaford Food & Pharmacy and produced live by 92.1 WVTK and Ken Gilbert, the food drive collected enough food to supply three local food shelves.
We are so grateful to Jan Phelps of Hannaford and WVTK’s KG, and to those generous shoppers who shared food and cash for those who might otherwise go hungry this holiday week. It was especially heartwarming to see the joy of children who came out of the store proudly carrying their chosen items to place in the collection carts. Kudos to all the parents who share their attitude of caring and philanthropy with their children.
We truly live in a community united.
Nancy Luke
