Tigers, Eagles are football all-stars

ADDISON COUNTY — A dozen members of the Middlebury Union High School football team earned postseason recognition from Division I coaches, while two members of the Mount Abraham-Vergennes collective squad received honors from the D-II coaches.
Three Tigers earned first-team offensive or defensive honors. Lineman Jack Deppman received first-team honors on the offensive side of the ball and second-team honors for his work on the defensive line, Tyler Hotte was named a first-team defensive lineman and a second-team fullback, and Cody Pomainville was chosen as a first-team defensive back.
Earning D-I second-team honors for his efforts on both the offensive and defensive line was Jaro Perera, while second-team honors also went to offensive lineman Brian Foote, defensive back Tyler Buxton, kicker Jack Donahue, and outside linebacker Skyeler Devlin, who also earned honorable mention as a tight end.
From Mount Abe/VUHS, running back Casey Kimball and offensive lineman Cyrus Devine both earned D-II second-team nods.
Also earning D-I honorable mention from MUHS were inside linebackers Cam Devlin and Lane Sheldrick, and defensive backs Simon Fischer and Tim Goettelmann.
