Note of appreciation: Football raffle benefited United Way

On Saturday, Oct. 14, Middlebury College graciously hosted United Way of Addison County’s annual Football Raffle at their Fall Family Weekend football game. Through the efforts of organizers Carol and Mickey Heinecken, Erin Quinn and Russ Reilly, along with volunteers Karl Lindholm, Darcy Tarte, Laura Rumbough, John Dale, Bruce Grove, Matt Curran and Betty Hutchins, $1,700 was raised that will go directly to programs supporting health, education, and financial stability in our community.
Additional thanks go to those generous businesses that support the raffle by donating nights at their inns as prizes, which are perfect for visiting families. Those businesses include; Inn on the Green, On the Creek Bed & Breakfast, and Courtyard by Marriott Middlebury.
Thank you to all our volunteers and to the game attendees who keep buying those tickets.
