Jackson Gallery presents its Tenth Annual Holiday Show

The Jackson Gallery will soon be filled with original, handmade and hand printed art, fine crafts and jewelry, for the gallery’s Tenth Annual Holiday Show. This exhibition will feature 22 regional artists whose work represents a wide variety of media and styles. This year’s exhibit will include several artists who are new to the show, as well as more three-dimensional works, both decorative and functional.
Sarah Ashe will display paintings along with small sculptures made with handmade paper, reeds and mixed media. Yinglei Zhang, whose paintings and calligraphy have graced the exhibits in the past will add her decorated ceramic platters. Reed Prescott and Dale Helms will return with cheese boards, frames, switch plates and earrings.  Don Perdue is widely recognized for his large commissioned sculptures. He will display four miniature sculptures representing a variety of his many techniques.
Judy Albright works in pastel and has taught and exhibited widely, though she has just recently moved to this area. Her works will join paintings and drawings by returning artists Gabrielle McDermit, Joan Curtis, Gayl Braisted, Mimi Love, Molly Hawley, Mike Mayone, Sarah Wesson, Catherine Palmer, Carol Calhoun, Norma Jean Rollet. Hope Johnson will display her expertly crafted “bee” quilts along with Deanna Shapiro’s fanciful fabric collages. Wood worker Rich Steele will return with his unique small cabinets.
This holiday season show has become a tradition at Town Hall Theater. The exhibit starts off with an opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 18, 5-7 p.m., and continues through Dec. 31. The Jackson Gallery is located in the lower level of Town Hall Theater. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 12-5 p.m., and an hour before any public events in the building.
