Route 116 work continues on Starksboro to Bristol stretch
BRISTOL — The state road workers this week will continue their work paving Route 116 in the Bristol area.
On the six-and-a-half-mile stretch of Route 116 between Bristol village near the Lord’s Prayer Rock to just south of Robinson School in Starksboro scheduled work will include:
• Paving of driveway entrances, weather permitting.
• Placing gravel shoulders and general cleanup.
• Line striping and shoulder work, weather permitting.
Travel will be reduced to one lane with alternating one-way traffic around all active construction operations. Flaggers will be present to assist in maintaining traffic flow.
Drivers should expect traffic delays between Bristol village and Starksboro all week.
Work on the project will be wrapping up for the winter within the next few weeks. The remaining final paving between Bristol and Starksboro will be completed next year.
