Local high school athletes chosen for All Star Football Game
MIDDLEBURY — Senior athletes from the Middlebury, Mount Abraham-Vergennes, and Otter Valley union high schools’ football teams have been chosen to play in the 17th annual North-South Senior All-Star Football Game, which will be played on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Middlebury College.
Five members of the MUHS team were chosen for the South team: linemen Jack Deppman, Brian Foote and Jaro Perera; fullback/nose guard Tyler Hotte; and safety/quarterback Cody Pomainville.
Representing the Mount Abe-VUHS cooperative will be running back/linebacker Casey Kimball, who is expected to play defense for the North in the all-star game.
From Otter Valley receiver/linebacker Payson Williams made the South squad.
Kickoff is slated for at 12:30 p.m. on the 18th. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, and will be available at the gate starting an hour prior to game time. Proceeds benefit the scholarship and grant programs of the Vermont Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
