Wonderland closing at end of year

Wonderland — a costume, vintage and custom sewing shop — on Main Street in Middlebury, will close its doors on Dec. 31. Shop owner and seamstress Hannah Hurlburt achieved her childhood dream when she opened the shop in the spring of 2015. Now she’s ready to leave retail and focus on her true passion — sewing.
“They say life is about learning, and this has been an amazing classroom,” Hurlburt said in an interview last week, while showing off a butterfly costume (she made the dress). “The support has been amazing. This store has been like a chrysalis for me and now I’m ready to spread my wings.”
Hurlburt said she will continue to offer tailoring, custom sewing and vintage clothing from a location (TBA) that’s accessible to Main Street.
