Helen Porter will transform to medieval castle for Halloween

MIDDLEBURY — After twelve years of lighted outdoor pumpkin patches at Helen Porter Nursing Home, organizers have decided to change things up a bit this year.
Helen Porter will be transforming their lobby and community room into a Medieval Castle and will welcome the public on Friday, Oct. 27, from 6-8:30 p.m. While there will still be plenty of pumpkins to carve, the event will happen chiefly indoors.
Organizers have also extended the event to cover a second night on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 6-8:30 p.m. Attendance is free.
