Otter Valley boys top Mill River soccer
BRANDON — On Thursday the Otter Valley boys’ soccer team blanked visiting Mill River, 4-0, as senior Josh Letourneau popped in a hat trick.
With the result the Otters improved to 6-4-1 and set a program high-water mark for wins in a season. MRU dropped to 2-9-1.
Ethan Sulik-Doty also scored for the Otters, with an assist from Justin Tremblay. Maxwell Williams set up one of Letourneau’s three strikes.
OV goalie Clay Hayes posted the shutout with six saves and plenty of help from OV defenders Sawyer Heath, Patrick McKeighan and Nathan Claessens.
Next up for the Otters are road games at Whitchester (a cooperative of Whitcomb High School in Bethel and Rochester High School) and Leland & Gray on Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
