Burlington edges Tiger field hockey

MIDDLEBURY — On Monday visiting Burlington came out on top, 2-1, over Middlebury in a battle between two high school field hockey teams seeking their first wins of the fall.
Makayla Lessor and Emma Dubac scored for the 1-7-1 Seahorses, and BHS goalie Rotha Ibrahim made two saves on rain-soaked Jette Field.
Maeve Hammel scored, and goalie Bridget Audet stopped three shots for the 0-8-1 Tigers.
MUHS was looking to break through at Colchester on Wednesday and will host Champlain Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Friday as the next-to-last week of the regular season concludes.
