Letters to the Editor: Where is affordability in Vermont care for seniors?

This is in regards to Thursday, September 28, article on Vermont seniors benefit from spectrum of services.
In your article by Yvette Shi, the following was written: “The state’s achievement was recognized by Pacesetter Prize for Affordability and Access in August …” It goes on to say the award was to “honor states making significant progress in improving long-term services and supports (LTSS) for older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers.
What I would like to know is where is this affordability you speak of to be found? Where are the supports and services for the disabled to be discovered? Where is the support for caregivers? Inquiring minds want to know … Please do not say SASH is one for I joined them only to be told they did not provide services to the disabled and my age bracket makes me too young for senior services/supports and too old for others.
