MIDDLEBURY — Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR) is seeking feedback from riders and other community members on proposed route and schedule redesigns for its in-county and Saturday LINK services.
There will be four meeting options:
•  Friday, Oct. 13, 6:15-7:15 p.m., ACTR, 297 Creek Rd., Middlebury.
•  Monday, Oct. 16,  5:30-6:30 p.m., Vergennes Police Department, Route 22A.
•  Tuesday, Oct. 17, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Lawrence Memorial Library, 40 North St., Bristol.
•  Wednesday, Oct. 18, 5:30-6:30 p.m., North Branch School, 898 Lincoln Rd., Ripton.
The format for each open house will be the same and all are welcome at any location.  For those in need of transportation to any of the open houses, rides can be provided. Please call ACTR at least 48 hours in advance, 802-388-ACTR (2287) to arrange. In addition, a summary of the proposals will be available on ACTR’s website after Oct. 2.  ACTR will also accept written comments on the proposals through Wednesday, Oct. 18. 
The redesign is driven by ACTR’s hub relocation to Academy Street, expected in early December. This move makes way for eventual bridge construction associated with the railroad project in Middlebury. In-county schedules have been tweaked to continue seamless transfers between routes.
New service is expected for Porter Express Care as well as commuter flag-down service from the Gorham Lane neighborhood in Middlebury. The hub move is not expected to affect the Rutland Connector or 116 Commuter routes. In addition to relocation adjustments, ACTR will improve efficiencies on its Saturday LINK and off-peak Snow Bowl Shuttle routes.
