Ralph Myhre stages tournaments
MIDDLEBURY — Ralph Myhre Golf Course hosted a busy slate of events last week, adding the Middlebury College Employee Tournament on Sept. 20 and the Alternate Shot Tournament on Sept. 23 to the usual weekly competitions.
The college tournament saw two teams of winners. The threesome of K.J. Krasco, Katie Ritter and Mark Lewis prevailed on the Front 9, and the foursome of Brent Raymond, Luther Tenny, Mark Brouillard and Bob Cameron won on the Back 9.
Four participants won Closest To the Pin competitions: Lewis, Chris Ayers, Don Dayton and Tenny. There were also two Closest To the Center Line victors, Jen Erwin and Mark Brouillard.
In Saturday’s Alternate Shot Tournament the Low Gross winning pair was Jim Rubright and Tom Maxwell, while Dave Wemette and Jim Craig earned Low Net honors.
In the regular Tuesday Evening Men’s Scramble on Sept. 19, the threesome of Craig, Wemette and Gary Weise prevailed.
In weekly Thursday Night Bill Davidson Men’s Golf action on Sept. 21, Joe Bartlett, Tom Maxwell and Fred Belanger comprised the winning threesome; Ed Sommers shot the low net score; and Maxwell won the Closest to the Pin competition.
In Sept. 22’s Friday Evening Mixer play, the trio of Frank Broughton, Maryann Broughton and Jim Hadeka emerged victorious, while Nicole Laberge was the Closest to the Pin winner.
