Notes of appreciation: Local veterinarians serve county’s homeless animals

As the end of September nears and we get used to the routines and rhythms of fall, I am reminded of the consistency and continuity with which Addison County’s veterinarians have served the homeless animals at Homeward Bound, Addison County’s Humane Society.
Vets from Middlebury Animal Hospital, Bristol Animal Hospital, Animal Hospital of Hinesburg, Vergennes Animal Hospital, Open Air Pet Repair, Champlain Valley Veterinary Clinic, Full Circle Home Veterinary Care, as well as Otterside Animal Hospital in Rutland County, take turns throughout the year to visit the shelter. They donate their time, skills, and resources to ensure the animals who call Homeward Bound home are healthy, sound and ready to be adopted by area families.
We are grateful for the years of experience and wisdom that supports our work.
