Lyndon pulls away from Eagle eleven
LYNDON CENTER — Host Lyndon scored four touchdowns in the third quarter on the way to a 42-6 Division II high school football victory over Mount Abraham-Vergennes on Saturday.
The Vikings’ Justin Duncanson ran 19 times for 173 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Justin Joyal threw for 110 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 68 yards. Kayden Lewis returned an interception 27 yards for a TD to cap the third quarter for the Vikings, who led by 7-6 at the half.
Quarterback Parker Hines ran for the Eagle touchdown, and Jon Jennings rushed for 64 yards. The Eagles host undefeated Milton on Saturday afternoon.
