Arts grants available to programs serving kids in 5-towns area
BRISTOL — 5-Town Friends of the Arts (5-TFA), is now accepting grant applications for its fall round of community grants. The Community Grants program helps to fund experiences and events in the fine arts, performing arts, history, and other cultural experiences to enrich the lives of people living in Monkton, New Haven, Bristol, Lincoln and Starksboro.
Previous recipients have included the libraries of the five towns, schools seeking funding for special events or artists in residence, elder projects, teen projects, and other community groups and individuals who have a great idea. Preference is given to projects and events that reach as many folks as possible.
This year, 5-TFA is also giving preference to applicants who serve young children in the five town community. The goal is to expose our youth to the arts and culture: from pre-school through high school, with emphasis on the younger grades.
The applications are due on or before Oct. 15 at 25 Main Street, Bristol. Applications can be downloaded from the organization’s website at 5townfriendsofthearts.org For more information email the organization at: [email protected].
