OV field hockey bests Woodstock
BRANDON — The Otter Valley Union High School field hockey team picked up a win over a Marble Valley League foe on Monday, 2-1 over visiting Woodstock.
The Otters improved to 3-0 heading into another MVL home game on Wednesday vs. Mount Anthony.
OV took a 1-0 lead with 7:20 remaining in the first half when Isabella Falco scored off a Livia Bernhardt assist. OV’s Alia Edmunds converted a Falco feed with 4:46 left in the second half to cushion the lead.
Woodstock’s Mackenzie Yates created the final score with a last-minute goal. Both goalies, Woodstock’s Maggie Parker and OV’s Ellie Ross, made 10 saves.
