McKibben to speak Sept. 21 at natural resources group meeting
MIDDLEBURY — Environmentalists from around Vermont are invited to the Vermont Natural Resources Council’s annual meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Middlebury College’s Kirk Alumni Center for food, fun and festivities. The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
This year’s VNRC Annual Meeting will feature Bill McKibben, founder of 350.org, Middlebury College distinguished scholar and Ripton resident. McKibben will speak about embracing local action to address global challenges.
He will also introduce fellow Ripton resident Warren King, a dedicated environmentalist and recipient of this year’s Arthur Gibb Award for Individual Leadership.
