Eagle field hockey starts with a romp

EAST DUXBURY — The Mount Abraham Union High School field hockey team opened on Sept. 1 with a 6-0 victory at Harwood.
The Eagles were paced by a three-goal, one-assist performance by forward Jalen Cook, and central middie Olivia Young added a goal and an assist. Cecilia Vichi and Chloe Lyons added a goal apiece, and Casondra Dykstra chipped in an assist.
Goalie Chessley Jackman stopped one shot to earn the shutout.
The Eagles were set to visit U-32 on Wednesday and will entertain Middlebury on Saturday at 10 a.m.
