VERGENNES — Evergreen Preschool is celebrating 35 years of service to young children and families in the Vergennes area.
Evergreen has cared for and nurtured more than 500 children in the past three and a half decades. The current board of directors includes two founding members, Katrina Matthews of Vergennes and Susan Torncello of Shelburne.
As the second year of Act 166 Universal Pre-K begins, Evergreen will welcome 33 children who will be receiving tuition assistance through the preschool’s partnership with the three supervisory unions housed entirely in Addison County.
