Counseling Service seeks worthy award nominees
MIDDLEBURY — The Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) is accepting nominations for four annual agency awards, to be presented at the CSAC Annual Meeting on November 9, 2017. If you have been touched by the work of a CSAC employee or know of a community member who exemplifies the agency mission “to help people live emotionally healthy and satisfying lives” we encourage you to submit a nomination.
Awards are as follows:
• The Wilton W. Covey Awards go to two people and recognize (1) a community member and (2) a CSAC staff member who are committed “to enhancing the quality of life in the Addison County community.” This award was established in 1992 to honor Dr. Covey, who had been the CSAC Medical Director and agency psychiatrist for over 25 years. He passed away in June of this year.
• The Holly Clook award acknowledges “any CSAC employee who enhances workplace vitality through his/her creative use of humor, humanity, dedication and commitment.”
• The William J. Lippert Jr. Advocacy Award is given to a CSAC employee or community member who displays “a vision toward a caring and inclusive community; in particular, to recognize advocates of high integrity who have consistently expressed the values of fairness, justice, compassion, and respect for individual differences.”
These four awards offer an opportunity for residents to demonstrate their appreciation to wonderful individuals who weave in and out of our lives every day. Learn more about the awards, download a form, or submit a nomination at csac-vt.org or contact the administrative office at [email protected] or [email protected]. Submission deadline is September 6.
