City Lions honor Long Trail owner

VERGENNES — The Vergennes Lions Club this summer recognized Michael DiPalermo, owner of Long Trail on the Falls Physical Therapy, for his assistance promoting Lions Club projects.
When the club was collecting “Toys for Kids” in December and “Food from the Heart” in February, DiPalermo gave tickets to folks bringing in items for the drives. At the end of the drives, a ticket was drawn giving one donor three months of free use of the facility equipment.
Since that time, DiPalermo has continued to hold food drives with the goal of helping feed local youth this summer.
Lions President Jim McClay said the club sincerely thanks DiPalermo and his staff for helping the Lions live up to their motto of “We Serve.”
“It is this type of community involvement that makes the Vergennes area such a special place,” McClay said.
