Letters to the Editor: Library addition would look nice

As a member of the committee that worked on the plans for the expansion of Ilsley Library, I want to emphasize that the proposed addition enhances the original library architecture. The 1923 library was a classic “temple: with symmetrical order and balance. The additions over the years obliterated that balance.
The planned addition, because it removes the later additions and places the new spaces basically behind the 1923 building, will allow the beauty of the original to be fully expressed.
