Quenneville wins again at Devil’s Bowl
WEST HAVEN — Devil’s Bowl Speedway action this past Saturday night was highlighted by Brandon’s Vince Quenneville Jr.’s second-straight win in Sportsman Modifieds feature race.
Quenneville’s win in a 25-lap event was also his third of the year in the Sportsman Modifieds. He needed only three laps to move from his fifth-place starting position to first and then sailed to victory. Fair Haven’s Billy Lussier took second place.
Also on Saturday, New Hampshire veteran Chris Bergeron scored his third consecutive NASCAR Whelen All-American Series victory in what was the third 50-lap race of the five-event Late Model Series.
Bergeron worked his way through traffic from 10th place at the start to prevail. Ferrisburgh’s Jamie Aube finished third in the race, and Vergennes’ Steve Miller took 12th.
New York driver Austin McKiernan scored his third career victory by winning the 20-lap feature for the Super Stock division. Bristol’s R.J. Germain and Cornwall’s Garrett Given finished eighth and ninth, respectively.
Georgia’s Zach Wood won the 15-lap Mini Stock feature, with Given taking fifth and New Haven’s Kaleb Shepard in eighth.
Fletcher’s Evan Roberts won the eight-lap Bandit Youth Mini Stock feature, with Salisbury’s Nick Austin-Neil taking third.
