Anderson twins return to Brandon Music
Juilliard trained identical twins Peter and Will Anderson have headlined the Blue Note, Kennedy Center, and New Orleans Jazz Festival, playing “with a passion, unpredictability, and sense of discovery,” says the website All About Jazz. On July 29, at 7:30 p.m., the clarinetist and saxophonist will return to Brandon Music to play their exciting renditions of American Songbook gems, infectious swing and blues, Brazilian Bossa Nova, Afro-Cuban hits, classical adaptations and fresh original music.
The Anderson’s debut release from 2012, “Correspondence,” features Kenny Barron and was listed in Vanity Fair magazine alongside Miles Davis in the article “Four New Releases to Make You Love Jazz.” Their newest album, “Déjà vu,” features Albert “Tootie” Heath and was called “a burner that reveals the band’s cohesiveness and spirit,” by JazzTimes.
Peter and Will have performed in over 40 US states, toured Japan and are featured four times in New York City’s famed “Highlights in Jazz” series.
Come see for yourself just how talented these twins are. Concert tickets are $20. Add a pre-concert dinner for an extra $25. Reservations are required for dinner and recommended for the show. Venue is BYOB. Call (802) 247-4295, email [email protected] or visit brandon-music.net for more info.
