ORWELL — After nearly a decade of work, the Mount Independence Coalition is publishing “Strong Ground: Mount Independence and the American Revolution.” To celebrate the publication of this 112-page, full-color and richly illustrated history, the Coalition is holding a gala launch party on Saturday, July 29, at the Mount Independence State Historic Site in Orwell. The event starts at 12:30 p.m.
The party features guest speakers, the music of Atlantic Crossing, and refreshments. If it is a nice day, bring chairs or blankets for an outside event. If it rains, the gala will take place in the auditorium. The program is included with regular admission ($5.00 for adults and free for children under 15).
