HENNIKER, N.H. — Mount Abraham Union High School graduate Ernesta McIntosh is set to take the field for Vermont in this Saturday’s 43rd annual Twin-State Lions’ Cup girls’ soccer game vs. New Hampshire.
McIntosh, a four-year all-star standout at midfield and striker for the Eagles, is the only area soccer player to be chosen to play for either the Vermont girls or boys’ soccer teams this summer.
This year’s games will be played at New England College in Henniker, N.H. The girls’ game is set to begin at 4 p.m. The boys’ game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
Vermont won the 2016 girls’ game, 2-1, but trails in the overall competition 17-12-5. New Hampshire edged Vermont in the 2016 boys’ game, 3-2, and holds a 19-15-8 all-time edge in the Twin-State games.
