MIDDLEBURY — Middlebury police cited Stephanie L. Dugan, 33, of Bristol for domestic assault, after she allegedly struck a family member in the Court Street area on May 12.
In other action last week, Middlebury police:
•  Investigated a suspected break-in at a Court Street apartment on May 8. Police said the tenant believes someone got into her home through a window via a fire escape. The tenant is searching her home to see if anything is missing.
•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS with an upset and potentially violent patient at the Residence at Otter Creek retirement community on May 9.
•  Investigated a report about someone slashing the tires on a vehicle parked outside the Champlain Farms store on Court Street on May 9.
•  Helped state police search a suspicious vehicle parked off North Pleasant Street on May 12.
•  Investigated a report of a tall man with an orange backpack who had allegedly been yelling at people leaving the 51 Main restaurant on Main Street on May 12. Police said they were unable to find the man.
•  Responded to a noise complaint in the Seymour Street area on May 12.
•  Helped Middlebury College Public Safety with a driver thought to be under the influence on Hillcrest Road on May 13. Police said the driver was sober.
•  Checked on a woman found sleeping in a vehicle parked at Otter View Park off Weybridge Street at around 1:30 a.m. on May 13.
•  Helped state police search for some people allegedly involved in a car crash in Ripton on May 13.
•  Assisted Middlebury Regional EMS with a suicidal woman in the Water Street area on May 14.
•  Helped resolve a custody dispute at a Route 7 South location on May 14.
•  Assisted state police with a car off the road near Cider Mill Road on May 14.
•  Responded to a noise complaint at a North Pleasant Street residence on May 15.
