MONKTON, — The Monkton Town-Wide Yard Sale will take place on Saturday May 27, from8 a.m.-1 p.m.,at the Monkton Fire House, 3747 State’s Prison Hollow Road, and at homes throughout Monkton. Hosted by the Monkton Girl Scout Troop 30166, all proceeds from vendor sign up fees and food sold throughout the day will go toward the troop’s end-of-year trip and events throughout the summer.
A limited amount of tables, both inside and outside, are available for $10 each at the Monkton Volunteer Fire Department. Vendor set up will take place Friday, May 26, from5 p.m.-7 p.m. for those inside or 7 a.m.on Saturdaymorning for those outside. Vendors need to be set up and ready to sell by8 a.m. on Saturday.
Monktonites who wish to host a yard sale at their home and be listed on the yard sale map can purchase a sign for $10. Signs will be delivered the week before the sale. Only those that have signed up and paid byMay 24will be included on the map.
Breakfast, lunch and snack items will be available throughout the day at the Monkton Fire House. Come by and see the Girl Scouts that work so hard to plan this event every year for the community.
Maps detailing sellers locations will be available at the Monkton General Store or at the MVFD on the day of the sale starting at8 a.m.
