Area teams show mixed results in boys’ lacrosse action
ADDISON COUNTY — In local high school boys’ lacrosse action in the latter half of last week, Mount Abraham/Vergennes won on the road, Middlebury split two games, and Otter Valley lost at home.
EAGLES
The Eagles improved to 2-3 with a 16-7 win at Randolph. Max Ratti-Bicknell scored five times, Ryan Rougier and Owein LaBarr added four goals apiece and two assists each, Phoenix King contributed two goals, and Eagle goalie Patrick Davison stopped 11 shots. Belial Mazella made seven saves for the Ghosts.
TIGERS
On Wednesday, the host Tigers dealt Burr & Burton a 9-4 loss. Jack Donahue scored three times, Spencer Carpenter and Jake Peluso added two goals apiece, and Andrew Gleason contributed a goal and two assists. Tiger goalie Cam Devlin made six saves, and Bulldog goalie Maxx Ingison made 10 saves.
On Saturday, undefeated host South Burlington topped MUHS, 8-4, as the Rebels scored the game’s final four goals. Trey Kaufmann scored twice for MUHS, and Devlin made 15 saves as MUHS dropped to 4-4. Goalie Ryan Hockenbury made 12 saves for the Rebels.
OTTERS
On Wednesday, visiting St. Johnsbury defeated the Otters, 15-5, despite OV goalie Alec Stevens’ 19 saves. Tyson Cram scored three times for OV, and Ethan Sulik-Doty and Cody O’Connell each added a goal.
