Prescription Take Back day to be held Saturday

VERMONT — This coming Saturday, April 29, is Prescription Take Back Day in Vermont. That is when anyone can anonymously visit their local participating locations to properly dispose of any prescription medication that are past their shelf life or no longer needed.
The goal is to safely dispose of pharmaceuticals so that they don’t get into the hands of illicit drug users or pushers or into the public water supply. Don’t flush prescription drugs down the drain or toilet.
Participating Prescription Take Back Day locations in Addison County include:
•  Middlebury Police Dept., Lucas Shaw Lane (all day; this location also has a permanent safe drop box for disposal).
•  New Haven State Police barracks, Route 7 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.).
You can visit the Vermont Department of Health or call 2-1-1 for more information on participating locations or to find out more details on this event.
