Panther men’s golf third at Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Middlebury College men’s golf team finished third among seven teams at the Williams Spring Invitational this past weekend. Williams won the event with a 577, followed by Trinity (589) and the Panthers (290-303-593).
Williams will host the NESCAC championship on the same course, the Taconic Golf Club, this coming weekend, with the winner earning the NESCAC bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
Sophomore Reid Buzby led the Panthers this past weekend, firing a 69 on Saturday and a 72 on Sunday for a 141, good for a third-place tie. Junior Joe Ko finished tied for eighth place with a 150 (76-74), followed by freshman Jeffrey Giguere at 151 (73-78), good for an 11th-place tie.
Senior Rodrigo Andrade came in with a 152 (73-79) to tie for 14th, sophomore David McDaniel was 18th (75-79), and sophomore Philippe Morin finished with a 159 (78-81), tying for 26th.
