Solons beat Mount Abe lax
BRISTOL — Visiting Montpelier on Wednesday defeated the Mount Abraham Union High School boys’ lacrosse team, 17-15, in what was the debut of Mount Abe’s cooperative team with Vergennes.
The Eagles will be looking to break into the win column on Monday, when they are set to host another Division III squad, Otter Valley.
Montpelier’s Conor Barrett posed the biggest problem for Mount Abe last week, tossing in nine goals and adding an assist to spark the visiting Solons. Montpelier goalie Roger Medina backstopped the win with 13 saves.
Max Ratti-Bicknell led the Eagles with five goals, and Owein LaBarr contributed four goals and four assists. Mount Abe goalie Patrick Davison stopped six shots.
