MUHS girls’ lacrosse improves to 5-0

SOUTH BURLINGTON — The Middlebury Union High School girls’ lacrosse team picked up back-to-back road wins in Chittenden County on Friday and Saturday to improve to 5-0.
The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday at BFA-St. Albans. That game was moved from Monday.
On Friday, the Tigers defeated host Champlain Valley, 13-6, as Isabel Rosenberg (five goals and an assist), Kate Donahue (four goals) and Andi Boe (two goals and three assists) led the attack. The Tiger defense and goalie Raven Payne limited the 1-1 Redhawks, who had scored 15 goals in a win at Burr & Burton.
On Saturday, the Tigers won at Rice, 10-6, as Payne stopped nine shots and Donahue (four goals) and Rosenberg (three) combined for seven scores.
Boe added a goal and three assists, Emily Laframboise chipped in a goal and an assist, and Ella Nagy-Benson also scored. Caroline Breen made six saves for 0-2 Rice.
