Windsong Woodwind Quintet to play at Bixby

VERGENNES — On Sunday, March 19, at 2 p.m., the Bixby Memorial Library welcomes back the classical woodwind quintet “Windsong” for another late winter concert under Bixby’s beautiful glass dome. This year’s concert features works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Maurice Ravel and Paquito D’Rivera. The event is free and open to the public, who are sure to be amazed by the Bixby’s sound acoustics.
No reservations are necessary but seats are limited, and you are encouraged to come early. Light refreshments will be served after the performance. This Bixby Library program is made possible through a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation in support of the Freda Fishman Stroh Cultural Event Series. For more information, contact Jane Spencer, Bixby Memorial Library director, at 802-877-2211 or email [email protected].
Windsong is made up of Kari Anderson, oboe; Julie Wolfe, bassoon; Susan O’Daniel, French horn; Hilary Goldblatt, flute; and Andy Miskavage, clarinet. Goldblatt teaches music in the Montpelier School District; Miskavage teaches instrumental music at CVU; and O’Daniel teaches music at VUHS.
