Willowell benefit to feature Avant-Garde Dogs and Band of the Land
LINCOLN — Area favorites Band of the Land and the Avant-Garde Dogs will bring the bounce to the Willowell Foundation’s Annual Boogie Benefit, on Saturday, March 18 from 6-11 p.m. at Burnham Hall in Lincoln. Admission is $10 to the party-style event, which also features a silent auction.
Band of the Land will open the evening, with a sound that combines elements of acoustic roots rock and conscious reggae, with uplifting harmonies and original songs. Next up is the Avant-Garde Dogs, whose uplifting, danceable rock features songs by Warren Zevon, Lucinda Williams, the Pretenders, the Clash and more.
Based in Bristol, the Willowell Foundation supports local and global initiatives for sustainable land use, and offers programs that integrate the sciences, arts and humanities into place-based and outdoor education.
