Three locals win state wrestling titles
VERGENNES — Three local wrestlers who won state titles at this weekend’s Vermont high school championship wrestling meet at Vergennes Union High School.
Mount Abraham Union High School sophomore Roman Mayer claimed the 120-pound title, Brandon Cousino of the host Commodores prevailed at 182, and Otter Valley’s Tyson Cram earned the 145-pound crown.
Middlebury Union High School’s Dustin Davio finished second at 138.
In team scoring, Mount Abraham earned the best team finish among the local schools by taking fifth.
