Tiger boys’ hockey in sixth in D1 after this weekend
MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Union High School boys’ hockey team split two games last week and held onto sixth place in Division I entering the final week of regular season play.
The Tigers’ 9-7-2 mark is good for a slight edge in quality points over U-32 (10-7-1) and Stowe (8-7-2) in seventh and eighth.
The Tigers finish up this week by hosting Rice on Wednesday and then visiting U-32 in a key Saturday matchup.
On this past Saturday, the Tigers won at Stowe, 3-1. Details on this game were unavailable before Sunday’s deadline.
On Wednesday, host St. Albans improved to 12-2-3 with a 5-1 victory over the Tigers. Zach Savage and Ethan Bonnette each scored twice for the Bobwhites, and two goalies combined for six saves.
