OVUHS girls’ basketball earn first victory

BRANDON — The Otter Valley Union High School girls’ basketball split two games late last week, including the 1-3 Otters’ first win.
That came on Friday, when Coach Steve Keith said the Otters played a strong all-around team game in defeating visiting Proctor, 50-26.
Keith said good ball movement help Gabriela Poalino break free for 27 points, while Leah Pinkowski (nine) and Julia Lee (seven) also chipped in offensively. 
On Wednesday, visiting Rutland topped the Otters, 46-27. Poalino led OV with 13 points, and Lee added seven. Elisa Magro scored 15 for the Raiders.
