Jane Palmer’s passionate and articulate letter (Dec. 12, 2016) regarding the gas pipeline deserves to be placed on the same shelf as Henry David Thoreau’s essay on “Civil Disobedience.” Her comment, “…our government is there to serve, we the people, not corporations…” told me that even in these trying times of cash-leveraged politics and corporate collusion, there is hope.
