Tiger gymnasts edge Randolph

MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Union High School gymnastics team opened its season on Wednesday by edging visiting Randolph, 113.9-107.4.
Chloe Kane paced the Tigers by winning two events, while Lian McGarry won once.
Fair Haven freshman Julianna Williams trains with the Tigers but competes as an independent.
The results in each event were:
VAULT: 1. Kane (M), 8.3; 2. McGarry (M) and Julianna Williams (non-scoring independent), 7.9.
BARS: 1. McGarry (M), 6.3; 2. Aly Chione (M) and Lilly Myrick (R), 6.2.
BEAM: 1. Courtney Clement (R), 8.05; 2. Carly Burger (M), 7.95; 3. Anna Buteau (M), 7.8.
FLOOR: 1. Kane (M), 7.8; 2. Myrick (R), 7.7; 3. Williams, 7.4.
ALL-AROUND: 1. Myrick (R), 29.15; 2. Dakota Browder (R), 23.85.
