Bristol police cite local man for domestic assault
BRISTOL — On Dec. 3, Bristol police arrested Jim Edwin Peabody, 54, of Bristol and cited him for first degree aggravated domestic assault.
Police were dispatched to a Taylor Avenue residence at around 7 a.m., after a man called 911 to report that he had been assaulted. The man provided Bristol police with a sworn statement indicating he had been living in Peabody’s guest bedroom for several weeks and that Peabody had grabbed him by the arm and throat during a verbal altercation that morning.
A judge set bail at $500, and Peabody was taken into custody and lodged at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington.
