See ‘Summer of Walter Hacks’ film in Ferrisburgh on Sunday
FERRISBURGH — The Ferrisburgh Historical Society welcomes the director/co-writer George Woodard and producer/co-writer (and Ferrisburgh resident) Gerianne Smart to the Ferrisburgh Community Center to show their award-winning film “The Summer of Walter Hacks” on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Set in the 1950s in Vermont, the film tells the story of two brothers who try to make life work on the family farm in the midst of life’s trials and surprises. Viewers from the area will recognize many familiar faces and locations throughout the film including areas in Vergennes, Ferrisburgh, North Ferrisburg and Charlotte.
The film starts at 2 p.m. Run time is approximately 120 minutes. Tickets are at the door only. A suggested donation of $5 is appreciated. Both the director and producer will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.
