Local Rotary donates $7K to hospice organization

MIDDLEBURY — The Middlebury Rotary and the Rotary Foundation recently gave Addison County Home Health & Hospice a check for $7,000 in support of the free foot care clinics provided by ACHHH.
“We are proud to support a nonprofit in our community which works so hard to care for Addison County residents,” states Ben Fuller, Middlebury Rotary president. “This particular grant is given in cooperation with the Rotary Foundation which matches our local funds dollar for dollar, so we can provide a substantial gift for a very worthwhile project.”
Prior recipients of this type of gift have been the Open Door Clinic and the Charter House Coalition.
In addition to this grant, Middlebury Rotary presented more than $50,000 to 20+ nonprofits in 2015.
Funds are raised locally by Rotary members who sponsor a golf tournament and the flag project, which has brought such beauty to Middlebury on five holidays. Members of this group also participate in service projects which have recently included helping to plant the Charter House’s new garden, repainting the bandstand on the Town Green which they built and donated to the town some years ago, and repainting the benches on the Town Green.
