ADDISON COUNTY — Vermont State Police operating out of the New Haven barracks reported two incidents in Addison County between Oct. 24 and Nov. 1; and a trooper from Rutland also reported on the arrest of an Addison County man during that period.
On Oct.  22 state police responded to a complaint of a burglary at a Pulp Mill Bridge Road  home in Weybridge. The victim told police that someone entered the residence during the evening and stole prescription medications. Police said no signs of forced entry were evident.

Also last week, state police began investigating a complaint of the theft of approximately $150 worth of tools and an Interstate Battery valued at approximately $100 from a vehicle parked on Dragon Brook Road in Ripton on Saturday, Oct. 29. A Lund truck bed cover was also vandalized, causing an estimated $350 in damage.

Finally, on Sunday, Oct. 30, at approximately 1:54 a.m. troopers from the Rutland barracks were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Post Road in Rutland. Upon arrival, police located a 2004 GMC Sierra off the north side of Post Road, against a tree. The truck sustained severe damage to the front bumper and rear passenger side.  
Police said that Craig Bilodeau was driving the Sierra westbound on Post Road when he failed to navigate a shape curve, and went off the north side of the roadway. As a result of the crash, a passenger sustained a deep cut to his right eyebrow, and required transportation to Rutland Regional Medical Center for treatment. 
While speaking with Bilodeau, police said he displayed several indicators of impairment. He provided a sample of his breath for a preliminary breath test. The test indicated his breath alcohol concentration was 0.111 percent; the legal limit for driving is 0.08.
Police took Bilodeau into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported him to the state police barracks for processing. He was cited for driving under the influence and released to a sober party.
