Letter to the editor: Minter a good person and proven, hard working leader
I ask you to vote for Sue Minter for governor of Vermont. Sue’s pragmatic, smart and compassionate approach to leadership will greatly benefit our state. She’s focused on issues that are overlooked by many leaders, such as paid family leave, domestic violence prevention, early childhood education and childcare, and workforce and pay equity. This focus will result in a greater opportunities for all Vermonters, and more a vibrant and just economy and society.
Sue has proven that she’s a hardworking leader with a commonsense approach to energy, transportation, economic development, and public health and safety policies. She understands that as Vermonters we must do our part to combat global warming, strengthen our infrastructure, and stem the national public health crisis that results in senseless gun violence.
Most importantly, Sue is a good person. She is ethical, thoughtful, and kind — a wonderful role model for our children and representative for our state. Sue is optimistic about Vermont and its people. Sue knows there are problems to fix, and she’ll work like hell to fix them. But she also knows that most Vermonters are working hard and living meaningful lives. We need a leader who works for all people, and supports and celebrates them.
Vermonters deserve a governor who leads with compassion and wisdom, and hope. Join me in voting for Sue Minter for governor.
