Letter to the editor: Lanpher works ‘across the aisle;’ Langrock backed
There’s a reason Diane Lanpher has been re-elected three times: She gets things done for her constituents. As a novice legislator in her first term, she worked across the aisle and across state lines with New York legislators to get the Champlain Bridge rebuilt — a vital artery of transportation and commerce in our district. She continues to advocate for us on important issues, for example co-sponsoring a bill requiring public notice of wastewater discharges, which has particular pertinence in Vergennes. Her service to our district has earned my vote again.
This year, voters in the Addison-3 district (Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, Vergennes, Waltham) have the added opportunity of electing an Addison County native to the Legislature — Fritz Langrock. Fritz writes, “I believe strongly that we need to make Vermont a place where people with good ideas are welcome and will have opportunities to change the world. Artisanship and industry, agriculture and innovation — these are the future of Vermont.” I agree.
If you live in Addison-3, please consider joining me in voting for Diane Lanpher and Fritz Langrock on or before Nov. 8.
